IT Me Finance encrypts your financial life on your device before it ever leaves it. We don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and the control you keep.

Who we are

IT Me Finance is a personal finance app that helps you plan and track your money — built to be private by design.

What we collect and why

We only collect what the app needs to work. We do not collect your location, contacts, health data, browsing or search history, advertising identifiers, or device tracking identifiers.

We collect this to provide app functionality only. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How your financial data is protected

Your financial document is encrypted on your device (using XChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption) before it is uploaded. Our cloud database only ever stores ciphertext — we cannot read your balances, transactions, or goals.

Access to your stored data is further restricted so that only your authenticated account can read or write it.

Third-party services we use

We use a small number of service providers ("processors") strictly to operate the app. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Clerk Sign-in

Handles secure sign-in (Apple, Google, email) and stores your name and email for authentication. See Clerk's privacy policy.

Supabase Storage

Stores your encrypted financial document and your account ID — ciphertext only. See Supabase's privacy policy.

DeepSeek AI Coach

Powers the optional AI Coach. When you ask a question, the app sends an anonymized summary of your finances (amounts only — no name, email, or account ID) plus your question, to generate guidance. Raw transactions and your identity are never sent.

Things that stay on your device

Photos & logos

If you add a custom logo to a bill or subscription, the image stays on your device — only a local reference is kept. Your photos are never uploaded.

Notifications

Bill and income reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not collect push tokens or send remote notifications.

Market data

If you track investments, the app may request public stock quotes using a market-data key you provide. Only ticker symbols are sent; no personal or financial data is shared with that service.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
  • We do not use third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Data retention

We keep your data only while your account exists. When you delete your account, your encrypted financial document is permanently removed from our storage and your authentication record is deleted.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of your data, directly inside the app:

Access & export

Export your transactions (CSV) or your full data (JSON) from Settings → Data.

Correct

Edit or remove any account, bill, goal, or transaction at any time.

Delete your account

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently erases your account and all your financial data from our servers and from this device. It cannot be undone.

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, use the in-app tools above or email us at itmelabs@gmail.com.

Children

IT Me Finance is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect your data with on-device encryption, encrypted transport (HTTPS), per-account access controls, and secure key storage on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

International users

Your encrypted data and account information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our providers in other countries. By using the app you consent to this processing consistent with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
